International Wedding Photographer
I had been planning this shoot since last July when I went to sublet in NYC for a month after I returned from Europe. I would walk through Park Slope with the world feeling like a slow-motion fog until I reached Brooklyn Heights Promenade where I would sit and scheme up creative ways of expressing what I was feeling. This shoot was a very therapeutic way of describing 2018 for me and a fun new way of shooting in studio. Styling by me. Make up by Lovely By Patrice
Casey is one of my June brides whose wedding i am extra extra excited about (she’s having food carts, smoke bombs AND sparklers). Her boudoir session was at Green Omnivore Farm’s Treehouse in Concord, NC which is absolutely incredible and such a great space for shooting. We had fun getting creative and capturing her beauty as a surprise for her future husband. Casey, you rocked this shoot and I can’t wait for your wedding!
With Mother’s Day coming up, I was so happy to go back home and do a mother-daughter photo session. Natalie used to go to high school with me and now she has a super cute daughter, Penny! We went to an old park I used to go to often- Little Mulberry Park. Penny is a Virgo like me, so naturally she is super intelligent and creative and helped me plan out some of the shots. Natalie, it was so great seeing you again and thank you for trusting me to capture your bond! Penny, keep smiling and exploring! <3
Being on the road so much, I find myself forgetting the beauty of where I came from, so when Catherine suggested we take photos at Rough Ridge Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway, I was so excited to explore it! Catherine and Rob were so cute with their dog Ryder and we had fun exploring some creative shots with smoke bombs and mirrors.
It was so nice to meet some more cool friends in Charlotte, too! As it turns out, Rob studied abroad in Chile and had visited where I live half the year, Viña del Mar! Catherine is a cool, cultured chick as well, having studied in Germany. My kind of people for sure! Catherine and Rob, thanks for letting me photograph your cute little family and I look forward to seeing it grow after your wedding! <3
Brooklyn is where half my heart lives (the other half in Chile), so I was very happy to do a couple session in the borough that I love so much. Giselle is a textile expert working at Madewell. Evan works for Condé Nast and also does wedding photography (putting the pressure on me!). They’re such a cute Brooklyn power couple and I had fun getting to know them and walking around Brooklyn Heights- one of my favorite, quiet areas in New York. I tried to capture the feeling of being young and in love in NYC- one of the best experiences you can ever have. <3
