Brooklyn is where half my heart lives (the other half in Chile), so I was very happy to do a couple session in the borough that I love so much. Giselle is a textile expert working at Madewell. Evan works for Condé Nast and also does wedding photography (putting the pressure on me!). They’re such a cute Brooklyn power couple and I had fun getting to know them and walking around Brooklyn Heights- one of my favorite, quiet areas in New York. I tried to capture the feeling of being young and in love in NYC- one of the best experiences you can ever have. <3
I had the amazing opportunity to travel half the year in 2018 shooting weddings and visiting amazing places. From the Netherlands, Italy, France, London, and Greece, below are my favorite travel photos from the year:
What I've learned from the ocean
Hard to dance and rejoice in the motion
Let the sun have its moment
The moon will come
What I've learned from a soldier
Every man is a son to a daughter
And we only remember
When we see the blood
What I've learned from a traveler
There's no road that can lead to nirvana
There's a world to discover
But home is love, hmm
What I've learned from a mirror
Look too hard and you'll find you a stranger
Love is just a decision
The choice is yours. // Jacob Banks
I knew I liked this couple as soon as I met the groom. He said he was worried about crying and that he had asked her 3 times to go out before she finally said yes. He was sooo in love and I was so honored to be there for their big day, especially such a beautiful one. Ale was stunning and Igal was so happy to be marrying her. Their ceremony was at Hotel Santiago and was absolutely gorgeous. I really enjoyed seeing the Jewish traditions such as the seven walks around the groom, the chuppah, the Sheva B'rachot, breaking of the glass, and the DANCING. Celebrity performers The Reggaeton Boys even showed up to perform. They really knew how to have a good time and I felt so lucky to be there to capture it. Thank you to Andres Medina for letting me shoot with him.
