I had the amazing opportunity to travel half the year in 2018 shooting weddings and visiting amazing places. From the Netherlands, Italy, France, London, and Greece, below are my favorite travel photos from the year:
What I've learned from the ocean
Hard to dance and rejoice in the motion
Let the sun have its moment
The moon will come
What I've learned from a soldier
Every man is a son to a daughter
And we only remember
When we see the blood
What I've learned from a traveler
There's no road that can lead to nirvana
There's a world to discover
But home is love, hmm
What I've learned from a mirror
Look too hard and you'll find you a stranger
Love is just a decision
The choice is yours. // Jacob Banks
I knew I liked this couple as soon as I met the groom. He said he was worried about crying and that he had asked her 3 times to go out before she finally said yes. He was sooo in love and I was so honored to be there for their big day, especially such a beautiful one. Ale was stunning and Igal was so happy to be marrying her. Their ceremony was at Hotel Santiago and was absolutely gorgeous. I really enjoyed seeing the Jewish traditions such as the seven walks around the groom, the chuppah, the Sheva B'rachot, breaking of the glass, and the DANCING. Celebrity performers The Reggaeton Boys even showed up to perform. They really knew how to have a good time and I felt so lucky to be there to capture it. Thank you to Andres Medina for letting me shoot with him.

It was an unusually cold day in Paris, but we braved it out to make some great photos. Fabio and Marie were were both styled so chic, as they usually are in Paris. Marie also had a RADIANT smile. She was so chic, tall, and easy to photograph because of how gorgeous she was, but as I got to know her, I could see most of her beauty came from inside. We also realized that we were both in NYC working at the United Nations in 2015 and yet never crossed paths! I love traveling the world and realizing these small connections. The world can be so small sometimes.
Her and Fabio were so in love. So chic and such a power couple. It was so nice to meet them and to photograph them in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Thanks for letting me capture your love in Paris and I hope to see you both again soon. <3
The first thing I noticed about Johannes was his jolly smile! He is a fellow wedding photographer in Berlin, so I was happy and nervous about shooting another photographer and his girlfriend. It was a breeze capturing their love, as they were so mad about each other that I even had to tell them to stop kissing sometimes! Their relationship was a great thing to capture and experience and I tried to portray Berlin as best as I could as well. A walk through the Turkish market, canals, grabbing a beer, and leaf-fallen streets were quintessential to capturing the Berlin vibe that I have fallen in love with while here. I hope I lived up to your expectations, Johannes, and thank you for picking me to capture you and your cutiepie girlfriend! Long live your love! :)
